Many naive people in secular countries believe that all Muslim women are forced to wear hijab. This is not true. Most Muslim women choose to wear hijab themselves. However, women in Muslim countries who don’t want to wear hijab are still required to wear it. This article will discuss the reason why Muslim women choose to wear hijab as well as the reason why other women in Muslim countries are forced to wear hijab.
First we should acknowledge the fact that hijab is not a new thing. Arabic terminology is very new to the secular world, but the hijab is not. Women in older Christian communities used to wear something called a bonnet. The Muslim standard of hijab is really no different than the old Christian dress code.
The problem is, during the rise of feminism, many Christians forgot about the importance of modest dress. This is because Christianity is an old religion. While some Christians have managed to stay true to their roots, most Christians have sacrificed their most fundamental values to appease society in the states they live in.
Jesus (PBUH) told people that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would come after him & bring what Muslims call the Quran. However, so-called Christian leaders or other powerful people managed to twist the Bible into saying many different things that contradict the truth. Again, thanks to this, many Christians have lost their way & sacrificed many of their traditional values. However, Islam provides the clarity that Christianity has lost over time for whatever reason. The Quran defines the permissible women’s dress code very clearly. It also contains a different dress code for men. However, this article is focused on hijab, why Muslim women choose to wear it and why other women in Muslim territories are forced to wear it.
And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision1 and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment2 except that which [necessarily] appears thereof3 and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment [i.e., beauty] except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons, their husbands’ sons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons, their sisters’ sons, their women, that which their right hands possess [i.e., slaves], or those male attendants having no physical desire,4 or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allāh in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.

This entire chapter is made obligatory, so all the rules in the chapter are taken very seriously by Muslims as well as Muslim countries. Unlike older religions, Islam will continue to spread & dominate the world because of the clarity of truth revealed in Quran. Naive men in secular countries argue that Muslims are forcing these women to wear hijab, but when it comes down to it, these atheist fathers don’t like to see their daughters dressed like prostitutes. The truth is, modesty is a contributing factor to the level of respect a woman receives from the men in her society. Rather than slandering Muslims and claiming that we force our women to wear ‘trash bags’ and stuff like that, these shallow racists would be better off taking orders from Muslims worldwide. Islam is the only clear blueprint left for the man who wants to empower his family. As much as it might disappoint some people, Judaism & Christianity are obsolete as influences in the world & in society. And as much as it might disappoint others, atheists have always been the weakest group of people in the world.
If Christians hadn’t gone crazy, the separation of Church & State wouldn’t have done any good. The separation of religion from state, specifically Islam, is a disaster. It creates weak families in weak countries. It doesn’t take much research to see that Muslim countries are healthier than atheist countries & they are growing faster. In atheist countries, growth is often stifled by family problems such as divorce. While divorce exists in Muslim countries as well, it is less problematic due to the fact that Muslims have guidelines that we follow from the Quran. The Quran helps people organize proper marriages and provides solutions for problems in their marriage. For example, a Muslim man can marry Christian or Jewish girls. However, a Jewish or Christian man cannot marry a Muslim girl. Only Muslim men can.
In secular countries, marriage is not taken very seriously. In addition to being encouraged to dress without modesty, women are encouraged to have ‘relationships’ and avoid marriage until they are ‘financially stable’. As a result of this, many women have several ‘ex-boyfriends’ and several children but no spouse. Even though the mother might do a good job, the family is not complete without a good father. Atheist countries are tearing apart their own families by trashing the modest dress code of Muslim women. In France, it is a crime for a Muslim women to wear hijab. French fathers are literally not allowed to encourage the women in their families to dress modestly. Yet this is a country that the Western world deems sophisticated.
People should realize that modest dress has always been the standard for women. These modern ‘feminists’ who advocate against Islamic dress code are really just misleading & damaging their own women. If secular countries care about the women in their countries (and they should), they should stop demonizing Muslims for reestablishing modesty in society.
