Shariah law & what it actually means for society

The literal translation of the Arabic word Shariah (شريعة), means ‘the clear path to water’. However, shariah is also the word commonly used to describe the fundamental rules of humanity & society, as revealed by Allah SWT (the most high) in the noble Quran. This article serves to visualize, realistically, the application of shariah law in modern society.

Some countries have controversial local traditions that they might consider as shariah. Other countries include something called ‘hadith’ in their definition of shariah. However we will only be discussing the universal & indisputable decrees of Allah SWT in the Quran, & how they would apply to society if implemented well.

Most modern nations have major issues preventing them from the longevity, growth & stability that they desire. This article would be hundreds of pages long if we pointed out each flaw in modern western society, so we will breeze through the history of America as a quick example, with other articles about major historical events & crises to come.

First & foremost, America was founded on war crime & brutality. We all know that America belonged to the natives before the ‘USA’ forced itself on the native people in the most brutal & careless way possible.

However, the purpose of this article isn’t to cover all of the war crimes against native people. Again, that would take many pages. The goal of this article is to illustrate how an illegitimate state can be re-legitimized thru shariah law.

The first step in achieving a truly legitimate state according to shariah law would be to return everything stolen from the native americans. This might never happen, but it is the first necessary step to a legitimate state. To be realistic though, the US gov’t does claim to have the intention of making things right with the native americans. If that’s the case, returning everything stolen from the natives shouldn’t be that difficult. Again, to be realistic, the natives would probably be kinder to people & the environment as an authority than the secular American (European Christian) system has been.

However, simply giving back the land to the natives doesn’t mean that the resulting state would be shariah compliant. In order to be shariah compliant, the new native leadership would need to implement Islamic law. There are so many violations of Islamic law that are commonplace in western society that there are probably hundreds of things that could be done to straighten out the path of most western countries. This article will cover a few major flaws in western society according to the basic universal laws of humanity as set by Allah SWT.

The most important thing in a shariah compliant state (in my opinion) is that the state sets a good example for it’s people. If a state tells the people one thing & does another, that’s a clear sign of corruption & the state loses all trust with the people, regardless of whether the state is native, european, or even Muslim. If the people don’t trust the state, the state can’t claim to be sharia compliant, or even democratic. Trust is essential in all relationships, & imperative when it comes to a building a legitimate state. This is an indisputable fact that western countries have totally lost sight of.

Provided that there are credible & trusted workers in the state, the next step would be to implement protections for life, which is sacred according to shariah (Islamic) law. If the state wants to ensure that the most sensitive lives are protected, they will need to implement full protections for babies; including criminalizing every abortion scenario besides rape. If the babies are protected, the next thing would be to ensure they are properly educated. In the western & Christian societies, the children are taught in public schools about everything except for right/wrong as decreed by Allah SWT. This is the most important part of a persons education.

If the state is run with the permission of the same people that naturally lived there, the leadership is trusted & credible, the sacred right of life is protected, & the children are educated properly, the only thing left to do is protect & empower the children as they grow. As the children grow older, they will straighten out society thanks to the strength & knowledge instilled in them by the community.

In America, the current standard is ‘listen to the old people with life experience & ignore the stupid children’. This is the opposite of the way things should be. Allah reveals to us in Quran that as people grow old, they forget certain things. While it would be insane to put a 5-year-old in charge of state policy, for example, it’s better to have a 30-year-old leader than a 70-year-old leader. Even though younger people haven’t lived as long as older people, that doesn’t mean they have less experience. In life, you can live to be very old & still live like a child. It takes being both alive & serious to actually learn something. If you get drunk & play games every day until you’re 70 years old, for example, you don’t get credit for ‘life experience’. The 30-year-old will have more knowledge than a 70-year-old drunk if he was remotely serious during his 30 years of life. Policy should reflect this.

In modern America, the younger generations are not only ignored by society, they are oppressed & persecuted at the request of older generations. Young people are constantly oppressed & persecuted by police (who should be privatized or abolished), but the older generations are the ones who report these teenagers to the police. Usually it’s for some very minor insignificance, legal by American standards or not (smoking marijuana for example).

Shariah law represents progress for humanity. If adults in western society want to be respected as such, they’ll need to step up to the plate of accountability. Western society needs to either set a better example for the youth, or step out of the way of shariah.
