The Biden family, their ties to Ukraine & how they influence Western media

In late 2013, mass protests erupted in Ukraine due to their president Yanukovych’s decision not to sign a political association & free trade agreement with the European Union, opting instead for closer ties with Russia & the Eurasian Economic Union. In response to this, Yanukovych signed a deal with Ukrainian parliament to form an interim unity government, adjust the constitution, and hold early elections. After police retreated from Kyiv, protesters took control & Yanukovych fled the country. That same day, Ukrainian parliament voted to remove Yanukovych from office. He claimed that the vote was illegal & said that he thought it might have been coerced.

After Yanukovych was ousted, protests broke out in his support. Though Yanukovych didn’t have strong support in Kyiv, he did have strong support in other areas of Ukraine. Russia considered the ousting of Yanukovych as a coup, and intervened. Russia ended up annexing Crimea, which is an essential port territory in Ukraine.

Shortly after all of this disaster, Hunter Biden joined the board of a sketchy gas company named Burisma. While Burisma operates in Ukraine, it’s based in Cyprus. Hunter Biden received $50,000 per month working for this corporation, despite the fact that he had no apparent qualifications.

Ukraine’s prosecutor general, Viktor Shokin, opened an investigation into Burisma. Shortly after that, Biden threatened to hold up loan guarantees to Ukraine unless Viktor Shokin was fired. All the bureaucrats united behind Biden to claim that Viktor Shokin hadn’t been firm on corruption & needed to be fired. As you might expect, Shokin was fired.

With Shokin gone, the election took place, and there was no clear winner. The election was narrowed down to two candidates; Zelenskyy & prior president Poroshenko. There was no clear leader, so they had a second round of votes, which Zelenskyy apparently won by a landslide.

However, Hunter Biden’s mysterious $50k job at Burisma still hadn’t been looked into. The US congress had approved $400M in military aid for Ukraine, but Donald Trump put a hold on it. Donald Trump inquired about the status of the corruption investigation of Burisma & Hunter Biden during a subsequent phone call with Zelenskyy. Ultimately this concern about corruption in Ukraine sparked the liberal outrage that claimed Trump had used foreign policy to target his political opponents.

Now that Trump is gone & Biden is in, Zelenskyy & USA are best friends again. They are also united with most of Europe in their Western quest for ‘democracy’. Unfortunately Zelenskyy’s democratic leadership skills haven’t really panned out. He failed to tackle corruption, either out of weakness or hatred for Trump. Even while Russia was gathering their troops on the border of Ukraine, Zelenskyy wasn’t taking his job seriously. If he was truly concerned about the people of Ukraine, he would have been building his defenses long before Russia decided to send their troops in. He could’ve easily assured Trump that the corruption would be addressed, or asked for support in Europe. He could even form an alliance with some Muslim countries, if he actually supported the innocent people being brutalized in Palestine, Syria, Pakistan, India, Myanmar, etc. Instead he turned a blind eye to some of the biggest human rights crises in the world.

While it is truly saddening to see what is happening in Ukraine, we shouldn’t put our faith in Zelenskyy’s leadership. Judging by his actions, Zelenskyy has never cared about human rights. He is making a desperate plea to save Ukraine, but not because he cares for his people. He tolerated corruption & remained silent throughout major human rights controversies. Now that his life is at stake, he wants to save Ukraine. In order to stabilize Ukraine for the sake of the Ukrainian people, it’s necessary to remove the incompetent & careless leader Zelenksyy. With a new election & new leader, Russia could feel relaxed enough to withdraw or negotiate more seriously. Biden needs to let go of his buddy Zelenskyy, relax his desire to ensure that everything remains corrupt for his sons benefit, and be honest with the people. Let Ukraine be Ukraine; free of corrupt politicians like Zelenskyy.
