Racism & Sexism in Mendocino County Public Service

Willits

Some time ago, former Willits police chief Alexis Blaylock sued the city of Willits for $500k alleging a hostile work environment. She claimed Willits police force had shown her abusive racism & sexism during her short tenure as chief.

In her lawsuit, Blaylock alleged specifically that Willits PD Lt. Derek Hendry had specifically refused to follow her orders because she was black. This is an element of racism, but probably also sexism, since Derek Hendry may not have said the same thing if his chief was a black male.

Alexis Blaylock won her lawsuit against the city who coddled her defiant antagonizer Derek Hendry, and Willits ended up agreeing to pay out $250k to Ms. Blaylock for the traumatic abuse she endured. However, her lawsuit may be only the tip of the iceberg.

Another former police officer has also recently filed a lawsuit against Willits Police Department for similar conduct. Her name is Natalie Higley. She alleges that former lieutenant Derek Hendry had harrassed her as well & the Chief of Police had retaliated against her for speaking out. The outcome of her lawsuit has not surfaced yet; the lawsuit seems to be pending or ongoing at this time.

Ukiah

Recently in Ukiah, UPD officer Kevin Murray was sued for sexual harassment. A few years prior he had been charged with breaking into the hotel room of a known sex worker & coercing her to perform sexual acts. He was dropped from the Ukiah Police Department shortly thereafter, thankfully.

However, despite all of these exemplary police officers, prosecutors remain silent while this pattern of racism & sexism continues to pollute communities across Mendocino County & the United States. People try to help each other & instill a sense of morality into police officers, but a corrupt police officer doesn’t change until they are forced. After all, the United States of America entrusted them with immense power, so why should they listen to taxpayers? Their governments who trusted them in the first place usually don’t offer any real discipline for them until it’s far too late. Often times they don’t really receive any discipline at all.

Kevin Murray received an unbelievably weak reprimand from his superiors in Ukiah. As you can see in the article, he was accused of ‘repeatedly raping’ a friend of his fiancee. He was found guilty; however, according to MendoVoice, he was able to avoid both sex offender registration & jail time altogether with a ‘slap on the wrist’ sentence.

Lawsuits are expensive, complicated & time consuming for everyone. If individuals need to bring lawsuits against government officials to hold them accountable, what is the community going to look like? Was this officer even held accountable at all? Judges & prosecutors need to hold their police to much higher standards to avoid the lawsuits that will inevitably be filed against their corrupt officials eventually.

Fort Bragg, CA does not have any lawsuits ongoing at this time, but that is because most people don’t know the legal process for dealing with corruption within law enforcement. Captain O’Neal told our chief editor himself that nobody had ever filed a claim against Fort Bragg Police Department before our chief editor.

Fort Bragg is a rural town without many knowledgeable people in the civil rights field. It’s no wonder nobody ever filed a lawsuit against their city or police department.

However, regardless of the population of the city & whether they have been named in a lawsuit or not, most police departments in the United States are very similar to each other.

For example, many American police officers seem to share an affinity for pigs. Both Captain O’Neal of Fort Bragg Police Department & ex Ukiah Police officer Kevin Murray have both shared public photos of their pet pigs.

The affinity for pigs shared by Kevin Murray, Thomas O’Neal & presumably many other officers is significant. Obviously people who have had bad experiences with law enforcement tend to call police pigs. However, pigs are also commonly used by racists & nationalists as means to harass Muslims & vandalize mosques & masjids. They throw pig heads near mosques to scare the Muslims out of communities, and they even cover bullets with pig blood when they fight wars against Muslims. They hope it will prevent Muslims from reaching Paradise. Nazi soldiers in Ukraine were filmed doing this. The pig seems to be a chief mascot of white nationalism.

That being said, why are American police officers so fond of pigs? Do they hate Muslims? Are they proud to be called pigs by the vast majority of their constituents? If they were truly striving to serve & protect the people as they claim, they would aim for approval from their constituents; even Muslims. They wouldn’t be proud of being called pigs.

The affinity these police officers show towards pigs is symbolic & should be taken as a clear warning by prosecutors & the communities they are responsible for protecting. It is dangerous to hire a police officer who takes pride in being called a pig.

Lawsuits do work apparently, but in order to protect our society from racist authorities before disasters happen, people need to watch for early signs of arrogance & entitlement. People need to protest racism in all forms & stand up for each other when they see others violated, brutalized or kidnapped. People need to speak up & remove arrogant public servants from our communities through boycotts, petitions, etc.

Lawsuits are expensive. Arrogance should be rooted out of police departments before communities suffer, not after. Racism & entitlement should not be tolerated anymore in Western society. #ShariaFinancial
